Ever since 1999, Whirlpool Corp. has donated a range and refrigerator to every Habitat home built in the United States and Canada. Since then, Whirlpool Corp. has expanded this relationship and taken it global through its HOUSE+HOME approach—enabling comfortable, nurturing places to live and supporting resilient, thriving and sustainable communities through education and neighborhood revitalization.
Thousands of Whirlpool people around the world have participated in building projects, including disaster relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina and the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti. And in 2021, Whirlpool launched its BuildBetter with Whirlpool program, a partnership with Habitat for Humanity to build 250 energy-efficient and climate-resilient houses.
